This piece is particularly tender for me as it was written as I processed a loss in my life. The anguish and sorrow I felt are represented in the first and second verses and the building storm. I love the moment of clarity and peace that comes in the small piano solo interlude leading to verse 3. The hymn then finishes with a nod to the original in verse 3 when I finally arrived at a place of joy and personal peace.
